Things I Love – Fall Edition

My Target faux sheepskin real leather slippers.

Last winter my feet were always always always cold. Not anymore baby! I am just happy that I am not quite pathetic enough to wear these out in public. For some reason that reminds me of this one time when Mr. E and I were first dating and he told me I shouldn’t wear pajama pants to the movies and he also mentioned that he was just telling me for my own good, so that I could look better. That didn’t go over too well, as you can imagine.

I still wear pajama pants to the movies, often. Take that, What Not To Wear. God, I love pajama pants.

The Pottery Barn Autumn Spice Candle.

I’ve wanted this since smelling one in someone else’s house last year and I have smelled a lot of other sub par pumpkin candles from various places since then but this is the original and the best. And they only sell it at this time of year so I have been biding my time. And now it’s mine. Ha ha ha ha. Awesome. This also reminds me that this weekend I saw a little sign in Starbucks that said that the Gingerbread Latte is coming back in four days and this year they are going to have a sugar free one and I almost wept tears of joy right then and there at the thought of all the delicious calorie free chemicals I’ll be ingesting this year. The Gingerbread Latte and the premiere of Project Runway in nine days and I swear, I don’t even need Christmas presents this year. Except for maybe these shoes.

Jennie and I both love these shoes. Although I would like mine in red, please. And also, why $200 dollars, J Crew, why?

This sweater, from Alloy. Love. Might switch out the buttons. We’ll see. I just bought two giant jars of buttons from some sketchy parking lot rummage sale, so I might as well put them to good use.

My Philosophy Hope In A Tube. No idea if it’s working for my world record under eye bags, but I swear it’s making my eyelashes longer.

My favorite chocolate chip cookies (add an extra 1-4-1/2 cup flour to make them chewier), brownies (throw some chocolate chips on top and eat them chilled), and pumpkin bread (I use half splenda and half sugar and half regular and half whole wheat flour).

My Under Armour Compression Shorts. Strangely flattering, at least as compared to what I usually run in (boys basketball shorts) , only $25 bucks, and they don’t ride up while I run. Woo hoo! I am very happy I didn’t order a $60 running skirt online.

The Schick Quattro.

Does everyone else already know about this? All I know is I super shadily used my sister in laws when we were in Michigan and I was sold – I just used it (my own, this time) and holy cripes. So much faster, smoother, and I didn’t cut myself for the first time in ever. Overpriced cartridges and all, I adore it.

Oh, and don’t forget my number one thing I love.

  1. Your #1 thing is adoooorable.

    (Thanks for the shout out.)

Also, I only use mens’ razors but I think I’ll give that one a shot.

And we are so product sisters. Love Hope in a Tube. Loooove those shoes. And I love that sweater, too. (Also I just got a Yankee Candle–Autumn Foilage–that I love!)

  2. I’m in love with Yankee Candle’s “Frosted Pumpkin”… more pumpkin cake than spiced pumpkin though.

Just a tip, to make your razor blades last 10x longer, dry them throughly. It’s not the use that dulls them, but water that deteriorates them. So keep ‘em dry and save a few pennies.

And your number one thing is always adorable :-)

  3. Your post makes me want to do cozy Autumnal things- not to mention I desperately need a new pair of fuzzy warm slippers! The winters here in Syracuse are -shock- brutal!
