I love Jewish delis. Zabar’s is my favorite. Coincidentally, I love a good potato knish.
I love freshly sharpened pencils and I love expensive office supplies, especially when they are “borrowed” from work.
I love shopping for fabric.
I love Google.
I love the smell the air gets when it just starts to rain.
I love when spring is almost here and my mom calls me up and recites “Nothing Gold Can Stay.”
I love really fattening banana nut muffins, the kind that are so bad for you that they’re actually really just cupcakes.
I love elephants.
I love tiny pink baby girl dresses.
I love polka dots and I love anything striped.
I love to hear the story of when I was born.
I love tailgating in the fall.
I love that feeling you get – it might be a hot summer night, and you’re wearing a strapless black dress you had to diet for a month to look just right in and your shoulderblades finally have a bit of sharpness to them and you’re in a fancy crowded place with just one favorite person or maybe a whole group of friends and you’re a little drunk on good champagne or maybe too much gin and the light is warm and yellow and maybe there’s candles and you glance over your shoulder at someone and something makes you laugh and you feel, just for a second, “Everyone here thinks I’m beautiful.”
I love the hope in a new pair of running shoes.
I love maple sugar on snow.
I love it when they let her shop.
I love anyone who can make me laugh.
I love to think of myself as someone I’m not.
I love cashmere even though I always wreck it and it makes me itch.
I love Chicago in the summertime – when someone is barbequing and the cicadas are fizzing as loud as they can and children are laughing and running and you might be making deviled eggs in your kitchen with the screen door open and everything just feels peaceful and right.
I love bad country music.
I love thunder and lightning.
I love any movie that makes me cry.
I love surprise presents even though I hate surprises.

I love a just mopped kitchen floor.
I love fireflies.
I love a good a line skirt. Preferably in a large scale floral print.
I love Gap long and lean jeans and I love the favorite tee from J Crew and I often wear them together.
I love a good sale.
I love looking at houses online.
I love getting mail.
I love summer food – cherries and watermelon and barbequed chicken and fresh tomatoes and cold noodle salad and lemonade.
I love those little dishes of pickled things they bring you at Korean restaurants before you get your food.
I love beating people in Anagrams, although I am not too keen on losing.
I love Hallmark commercials.
I love Project Runway, Thin Mints, Martha Stewart, clothes from the sixties, birthday money, afternoon tea, olives, Burger King crowns, Jackie O and her giant sunglasses, shortalls on little boys, glitter, Cillian Murphy, a brand new blank notebook, lists, the color green, new bras, fleece pants, my Nikon D40, red shoes, making cupcakes, puffy loveseats, elevators, Joey and Pacey, Patsy Cline, clean sheets, lip gloss, rare steak, Stevie Wonder, wrapping presents, oogling modern furniture, and when the sun comes out from behind the clouds.
